Inspire — Peaceed Prehistoric Memories, Area

The protected ancient monuments are a subset of the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces’ database of Fund and Prehistoric Memories and amount to approximately 33,000 out of a total of approximately 200,000 registrations. The basis of the registration is the National Museum’s upbringing of the whole country from the 1860s to 1920 as well as subsequent reports from the Danish museums about new archaeological sites. From 2008-2013 there was a revival of all protected ancient monuments, including GPS measurements of all. These measurement data are continuously reported to Fund and Pre-Time Memories.
