The Land Zone Regulations of the Planning Act contain provisions on the development, settlement and alteration of the use of buildings and areas in the rural zone.
The main objective of rural zone regulations is to prevent uncontrolled and scattered settlements and structures in the open country and to preserve valuable landscapes and nature.
Municipalities are obliged to report land zone permits to Plandata.dk.
‘PARAGRAPH 35. In rural areas, no development, new settlement or change in the use of existing settlements and undeveloped areas may be carried out without permission from the municipal council, subject to Sections 5 u and 36-38. In the case of the municipal council’s authorisation under the first sentence, special attention may be paid to the municipal plan’s guidelines for conversion villages.’
