Dataset description
Static theme. The theme shows data for the Natura 2000 baseline analysis 2022-2027 revised in 2021, which is the basis for the 2022 consultation of Natura 2000 plans 2022-2027.
The theme shows position data for fishing vessels with non-bottom trolling gears within the Natura 2000 areas. Position data for fishing vessels with non-bottom trolling gears are calculated for vessels with gillnets in the period 2013-2018. The potential fishing is shown on the map with AIS (Automatic Identification System) data. AIS data is shown at varying frequencies as low as every two seconds. The points shown are for a given speed of the vessel where it is assumed that fishing can take place.
