Registration of natural habitats protected under Section 3 of the Nature Conservation Act.
These are:
· lakes and ponds with an area of at least 100 m²,
bogs, meadows, marshes, marshes, heaths and hills with an area of at least 2 500 m²,
· “mosaics” of the above-mentioned habitats with an area of at least 2 500 m²,
· certain designated streams &
· all bogs in f. m. protected ponds, lakes or streams.
Protection applies regardless of whether there are one or more owners. Change of condition of protected nature requires authorisation (dispensation).
A protected area can change so much over the years that it is no longer protected. On the other hand, an area that is not protected today can change, so it will be.
It is the actual conditions of the area (size, botany, frequency of conversion, etc.) that determine whether or not it is protected. The registration is therefore indicative
Whether or not an area is protected will, in case of doubt, be determined by an inspection and assessment of the area.
