The dataset contains reduced clay thicknesses for single layers and accumulated layers. Data are calculated by subtracting the thickness of oxidised clay from the total thickness of clay over specific magazines calculated from hydrostratigraphic models. The oxidised part is assessed on the basis of the location of the redox limit, the location of the water table or a specific assessment. Data was originally compiled in raster format, and each point represents a grid cell centre. The inventory declaration is derived from the hydrostratigraphic model in question and therefore data cannot necessarily be compared across model boundaries. Reduced clay thickness is found as polygons and points. Data have been collected since the beginning of groundwater mapping in 2000 and will be updated on a regular basis.
