Dataset description

Clay thickness calculated on the basis of hydrostratigraphic models from groundwater mapping. The dataset contains both the clay thickness for single layers and accumulated layers. Data was originally compiled in raster format, and each point represents a grid cell centre. The inventory declaration is derived from the hydrostratigraphic model in question and therefore data cannot necessarily be compared across model boundaries. Data has been collected since the beginning of groundwater mapping in the year 2000 and is constantly updated. Exists as a point and polygon
