The Danish Agency for Data Supply and Efficiency (SDFE), the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (KL) and the Environmental Protection Agency have established a solution for the joint exhibition of municipalities’ data on watercourses in the context of the Joint Digital Strategy 2016-2020. The collection, storage and exhibition is carried out by SDFE and provides public authorities, utilities, private advisors, etc. with access to data on rivers in order to use this data in their management processes, exercise of authority, advice, etc.
In general, watercourse data is used for climate adaptation, planning and hero tasks for the management, planning and monitoring of river management. The pooling of data on rivers ensures a more efficient use of this data across the country.
Screen data for watercourses are measured and maintained as part of the management in the individual municipalities. It is the municipality, as data owner, that is responsible for providing data to SDFE and for the quality of the data.
Data include processed data on rivers, including cross-sectional profiles, piping, bridge profiles, wells and influxes, as well as regulation profiles and control measurements.
