Data er vejledende, og giver kun et fingerpeg om det kan være en god idé med solceller. Kortet tager ikke højde for alle skygger. Fx indgår der ikke skygger fra træer, skorstene, antenner, mindre kviste og karnapper. Er taget på din ejendom fladt, kan taget også være mere egnet, end kortet viser. Samtidig viser kortet ikke hvordan solcellerne passe til bygningens og områdets arkitektur? Derfor er det oftest en god ide at få hjælp af en rådgiver til at lave en nærmere vurdering af mulighederne.
