Flash Eurobarometer 441: European SMEs and the Circular Economy

This Eurobarometer is published during the #EUGreen Week of 2016, Europe's biggest annual occasion to discuss environment policy. The survey shows that 73% of European SMEs have invested in the transition to a more circular model for their businesses over the past three years. More than a quarter (27%) said they had encountered difficulties in accessing financing in this area. Commissioner Vella said: "It is becoming more and more clear that a sound investment strategy means combining economic opportunity with sustainable environmental practice.
