The European Commission’s Justice, Freedom and Security Directorate-General commissioned a poll on EU citizens’ views on the need for and possibilities of sectoral cooperation in the areas of witness protection, identity fraud and tax fraud relating to transborder organised crime. Interviews were conducted face-to-face in people’s homes, in their national language, between June 7 and July 12, 2006.
