The European Commission’s Directorate-General Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities therefore commissioned a poll in order to further explore EU citizens’ position on the role of media in discrimination issues, with a particular focus on discrimination based on ethnic origin and religion, and television as a medium. Interviews were conducted face-to-face in respondents’ homes, in their national language, between 17th November and 19th December 2006.
