Dataset description
This dataproduct consists of gridded abundance maps of the six most abundant copepod species collected with the Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR). The product is developed with the DIVA spatial model and provides seasonal abundance data of copepods in the North East Atlantic between 1958 and 2012.
The gridded maps are produced for time windows, e.g. combining years 1-10 in one gridded map, years 2-11 in the next etc., so that relatively smooth animated presentations can show the essential change over time.
