The THETIS information system allows port state authorities in the EU and Paris MoU countries (Canada, Iceland, Norway and Russia) to manage inspection data in a single interface. It enables the authorities to target the right vessels for inspection, assists the European Commission by providing statistics on inspection results, and helps monitor the performance of member states in relation to their international and European obligations. The system is expanding to cover the provisions of the Sulphur Directive, the Port Reception Facilities Directive and the CO2 Monitoring, Reporting and Verification Regulation.
