Dataset description
Single orbital ground tracks of platform METOP-C, for the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) instrument. The product displays the path that the satellite "draws" on the surface of Earth while moving in a near-polar sun-synchronous orbit. From every single orbit it is possible to access to all the Product Dissemination Units (PDUs) included in that orbit. Each PDU contains 3 minutes of measurements. There are approximately 33/34 PDUs per orbit. For every PDU, the starting time is provided, in format YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ. PDUs are aggregated into full orbits for some EUMETSAT and satellite application facility (SAF) products.
This product can be downloaded as numerical data in EUMETView NG, where it is provided through a Web Feature Service (WFS).
