Dataset description
Wind vectors from Scatterometer data (Seawinds) over the global oceans at 10 m height. The scatterometer data coming from the SeaWinds instrument on board the QuikSCAT satellite are processed towards a 25 km product at KNMI for the EUMETSAT OSI SAF. Details are described in the SeaWinds Product Manual. Unavailable in near-real time since 23rd November due to failure of SeaWinds instrument aboard QuikSCAT. Better than using this archived NRT product, please use the reprocessed Seawinds winds data records (EO:EUM:DAT:QUIKSCAT:REPSW25, EO:EUM:DAT:QUIKSCAT:REPSW50)
