The database fulfils on one side the requirements of the European Railway Agency defined in Article 13 of “Commission implementing Regulation (EU) No 402/2013 of 30 April 2013 on the common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment and repealing Regulation (EC) No 352/2009” and on the other side the requirements of the OTIF Secretary General defined in section 13 of the OTIF UTP GEN-G of 1.1.2014 on the Common Safety Method (CSM) for risk assessment. It makes publicly available the decision of both, the EU Member States and the OTIF non-EU Contracting States, on the use of accreditation or recognition or any combination of these two options for acknowledging the competence of CSM assessment bodies. In addition, it includes the identification and the areas of competence of those CSM assessment bodies accredited or recognised in their territory in accordance with that Regulation in EU or with the OTIF UTP GEN-G in the OTIF non-EU Contracting States.
