Dataset description

The indicator measures artificial land cover expressed in four units: 1. Artifical land per capita in m² per year 2. Artifical land in km² per year 3. Index, 2009 = 100 4. Index, 2012 = 100 Artifical land cover is defined as: - roofed built-up areas including buildings and greenhouses; - artificial non built-up areas including sealed area features, such as yards, farmyards, cemeteries, car parking areas etc. and linear features, such as streets, roads, railways, runways, bridges; - other artificial areas including bridges and viaducts, mobile homes, solar panels, power plants, electrical substations, pipelines, water sewage plants, and open dump sites. ** The product has been discontinued since: 26 Jun 2019.**
