Dataset description

The collection is based on the Regulation (EC) 91/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2002 on Rail transport statistics. Data displayed in this table cover the Rail transport of goods which relate Rail goods transport in the Member States on its national territory. Member States may exclude railway undertakings which operate entirely or mainly within industrial and similar installations, including harbors. They are not covered in these statistics.
