The resident density category of the wizard system belongs to the traffic data register’s ID numbers and traffic data data set. The population density category in the Road Register was TL 233 Population density. The target category contains data on population density per square kilometre. The data is produced centrally by VTT using the housing data of the building and apartment register. The population density is calculated using the GIS program for all roads. For the purpose of calculating the road network, from the beginning of each road section, the road network shall be divided into periods of 100 metres. At each end of the road cycle, the population density is calculated within a radius of 399 m, i.e. half a square kilometre. The population density of the 100 m road period shall be the average of the population density at its ends. Values of less than 15 inhabitants per km² are not exported to Tiewiho for data protection reasons. 100 m cycles are combined so that values greater than 99 are presented to the accuracy of two significant digits. The property descriptions of the wizard’s data can be found here: in the United States. The data cover the road network maintained by the Finnish Transport Agency.
