Key findings: Detections of non-regional transiting migrants continue to decrease following the closure of the transit corridor in March 2016 Despite the enhanced border-control measures, some pressure on the borders persists; some migrants still manage to make their way through the Western Balkans albeit in lower numbers and with more difficulty Slight increase can be observed in detected illegal stayers as it becomes more difficult to leave the region The irregular flow of citizens of Western Balkan countries remains low and mostly contained to the southern regional borders with Greece
