The CEMS Risk and Recovery Standard has been activated by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations - European Emergency Response Coordination Centre (DG-ECHO ERCC), following the explosions occurred in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, on the 4th of August 2020. This activation aims to provide a detailed damage assessment, delivering a picture of the spatial extent and severity of the damages.With that purpose, this activation includes the following Standard Products:P08 Detailed damage assessment;P14 Impact assessment on assets and population;P13 Ready to print maps and map books for field campaigns. P14 – Impact assessment analyses on assets and population. Population statistics derived from the combination of the P08.1 with WorldPop (top) and Facebook (bottom) population datasets. The affected population has been estimated on a building area basis, and on a building volume basis. This Risk and Recovery activation complements the Rapid Mapping activation EMSR452 (https://emergency.copernicus.eu/EMSR452). <br/>
