On 02.09.2020 the heavy rainfall overnight and in the morning caused severe flooding in Clifden and in part of County Galway. Fire services personnel are currently helping people in the area who have been stuck in the floods. Several people have had to be evacuated from their houses. The rainfall warning is currently set to last until 9 pm with plenty more rain expected.<br/>
