Activation reason: <br/>
In the early hours of December 6, 2020, a strong weather system hit northern Italy with heavy rain and much snow. The event has particularly affected the Emilia-Romagna Region where melted snow from the close-by Apennines and heavy rains have caused the Panaro River to burst its banks near the small town of Gaggio (Modena) flooding nearby areas. Several people have already been displaced by the regional civil protection and several houses are flooded. At the time of activation, the situation is still developing. The Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping Service is requested to provide Delineation and Grading maps.
