The extreme weather Gyda will hit western part and central part of Norway on Wednesday 12.01.2022. The extreme weather will bring warm temperatures, wind and heavy rainfall. The combination of rainfall and snow melt is expected to cause floods in many areas. The culmination for larger rivers is expected in the very next days. A high risk of avalanches and landslides is also expected. The Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping Service has been activated to monitor the flood evolution over the potentially affected areas.<br/>
