<br/> Activation date: 2022-08-08 <br/> Event type: Wildfire <br/> <br/> Activation reason: <br/> The CEMS Risk and Recovery Standard (RRM STD) has been activated by the Spanish General Directorate of Civil Protection and Emergencies (CENEM) on behalf of the government of Castilla y Le&oacute;n region (Spain), following the forest fire that broke out in the municipalities of San Juan de la Nava and El Barraco (&Aacute;vila) on 24th of July 2022. The goal of the activation is to provide wildfire damage delineation and grading products and to assess the post-disaster erosion risk.The fire reached the Level 2 of a danger scale&nbsp;ranging from 0 to 3. The adverse weather condition and the wind contributed to the flames spreading quickly and reaching the nearby town of El Barraco. The fire was declared extinguished after six days, on 30 July 2022. Due to the ecological value of the affected area,&nbsp;the government of Castilla y Le&oacute;n requested the following&nbsp;RRM Standard products:&nbsp;P07 Wildfire delineation and grading,&nbsp;&nbsp;P14 Impact assessment on assets and population,&nbsp;P15&nbsp;Detailed impact assessment on forests,&nbsp;and&nbsp;P16&nbsp;Soil erosion risk analysis.The P07-Wildfire delineation and grading product has been generated by using post-event VHR satellite images. The analysis resulted in 492.46 ha burnt, of which 457.04 ha have been slightly damaged, 34.38 ha moderately damaged and 1.04 ha highly damaged.The P14-Impact assessment analysis on assets and population and the P15-Impact assessment analysis on selected aspect show that the fire ravaged inside an unpopulated area, but the village of El Barraco were under threat. The fire mostly affected mixed vegetation forest (conifers and broadleaves) areas, but also Juniper tree areas. Agricultural areas seem to be significantly affected with 123.36 ha, almost 10% of all agricultural areas in the AOI.The P16-Post-Disaster Soil Erosion Risk Assessment shows that the soil susceptibility is mostly very low over the AOI. But the area affected by the fire presents a severe risk after the event.&nbsp; <br/> <br/>
