Dataset description

The indicator provides robust forecasts of the occurrence of on unusual dry or wet precipitation conditions over the next month. It is computed based on the forecasted Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI-1), derived from the long-range (i.e. seasonal) forecast system (SEAS51) of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). This indicator is calculated using a reference period between the year 1981 and 2016. It has a spatial resolution of 1 decimal degree and a temporal resolution of 1 month.
