This dataset includes daily maps of discharge (in m3/s) simulated with the Lisflood hydrological model with quasi global extent at 0.1 degree (~10 km) grid resolution. The model was calibrated at 1226 river sections, with total drainage area of 51 million km2 and within 66 world countries, using at least 4 years of observed discharges and ECMWF’s ERA5 as meteorological input dataset. The same dataset and the calibrated model are then used to run a hydrological simulation for the period 1979-2018, where the first year was discarded to allow for model warm-up, to ultimately obtain a 39-year continuous streamflow reanalysis.
