Dataset description
This dataset contains the 2021 update of the Innovation Output Indicator (IOI), which is a composite indicator published by the European Commission to quantify the extent to which ideas for new products and services carry an economic added value and are capable of reaching the market. IOI scores are here presented against the EU2011=100 benchmark. Please refer to the report Bello et al. (2022), "The Innovation Output Indicator 2021", doi: 102760/802325, for a thorough description of the methodology.
