Phytosanitary emergency in Italy (2015-04-24)

In the territory of Lecce, Salento peninsula, quick decline symptoms were observed on olive trees (Olea europea). Due to the progressive spread of the bacterium and the potentially threatening other crops and regions, this emergency has assumed severe proportions, with heavy economic, environmental and social consequences. In order to manage the emergency, a special task force has been defined.
