<br/> Activation time (UTC): 2020-01-13 14:11:00<br/> Event time (UTC): 2020-01-12 00:00:00<br/> Event type: Volcanic activity (Ash fall)<br/> <br/> Activation reason: <br/> On 12 January, Taal volcano, located in the Batangas Province (central-western Luzon), started erupting an ash plume 10-15 km high, followed by a magmatic eruption including weak lava flow. Widespread ash fall was recorded in several locations, including the cities of Manila and Quezon.
