**How is the data compiled?**
MOT’s definition of corporate aid comes from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment’s own Corporate Support Report (7/2012). The data include direct business subsidies from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Finnish Transport Agency, the Energy Market Authority and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which are public by law.
There is also an updated version of the database MOT Business Support 2010-2016.

**What does YLE’s MOT business support material include?**
The dataset contains data on the payments of various business subsidies over several years. The dataset contains information on the allocation of direct business subsidies worth more than EUR 7.5 billion.
We published data on subsidies paid in 2011 and earlier in autumn 2012, since then the material has been updated annually. The sums represent money that has actually been transferred to corporate accounts.
Please note that the time series of different support formats are slightly different in length. Since 2008, all the main subsidies are included, so the comparison gives a reliable picture of the development of the aid.
*Please specify the different forms of support and the length of the time series, as well as additional information and instructions attached.*
