Municipality-based statistical areas

Local government-based statistical areas include municipalities, sub-regions, counties, major regions, regional State Administrative Agencies (AVI), Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY), welfare areas, constituencies and employment areas. The statistical regions based on municipalities correspond to the regional divisions used in the statistics for the statistical year in question. Annual versions of the data are published as well as most of the most recent regionalisation data (without an annual specification in the name of the dataset).
