Location of Class A, B, C and D Aquitaine dams. Data developed from the d & #x27 System; Information on Hydraulic Works (SIOUH). The system d' information on hydraulic structures (SIOUH) s' is mainly addressed to the safety control services of hydraulic structures, in order to help them to follow the #x27th; enforcement of the regulations put in place with the publication of Decree No. 2007-1735. There are four classes of dams: — class A: h >= 20 m — class B: not class A and h >= 10 m and h² x V½ >= 200 (V volume of restraint) — class C: no Class A and B and h >= 5 m and h² x V½ >= 20 — class D: h >= 2 m and neither A, nor B, nor C NB. h is, in meters, the height of the dam above the natural terrain and V the volume of the reservoir in million m³ (cubic meters). __Origin__ GENEALOGY: Data extracted from SIOUH, August 2013.
