The Atlas of Inundatable Areas (AZI) are developed by the Departmental Directorates of the Territories (DDT) in each department. They are constructed in most cases from hydrogeomorphological studies or from the highest known waters (PHEC) or even from watershed-scale 100-year-return floods. They are linked to the risk management component of the SDAGEs (Departmental Water Planning and Management Scheme), developed by the basin committees.
