Dataset description
This dataset gathers the digitized data of herbarium collections present in the Herbarium of the Botanic Garden Meise (BR), Belgium. They relate to vascular plants collected in tropical Africa, and have a strong focus on Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi. Each entry has data on: 1. Taxonomic identity 2. Geographic location 3. Collector and collecting information It represents an abstract of a larger database using the BGBASE software (http://www.bg-base.com) and held in the mentioned institute, which is regularly updated. Scientific collaboration is welcomed; please get in touch with a point of contact.
