Brittany Spatial Imaging Product for Vegetation

Created to allow you to view recent images of your Region at any time, the vegetation image product provides you continuously with Sentinel-2 satellite images giving a representation of your territories beyond what the eye would see. This image with artificial colours (“false colors”) makes it possible to discriminate well between mineral and vegetable surfaces. Active and dense vegetation appears in bright red (pelves, crops, dense hardwood forests), less active vegetation in dull red (fallwood, coniferous, scattered lawns), bare soils and brown-coloured mineral and built in grey blue. The clear water appears in very dark blue to black and the water charged with suspended matter in lighter blue. Monitor your territories with recent images of a few days or weeks depending on the presence of clouds. These images provided by the European Earth Observation Program Copernicus are updated daily. This service is technically promoted and monitored by the Teledetection Business Centre and the GIS Bretel.
