La charte forestière de territoire (CFT) est un outil d'aménagement créé par la loi d'orientation forestière du 9 juillet 2001. Son objectif est de développer le lien entre le développement économique, social et culturel d'un territoire forestier. Elle ancre l'orientation des actions en faveur d'une gestion durable des forêts dans une démarche de contractualisation entre offreur (propriétaires et gestionnaires de la forêt) et demandeurs (tous publics : riverains, usagers, socioprofessionnels, collectivités, propriétaires forestiers).
