Dataset description

Estimations quotidiennes de la Chlorophylle-a, indicateur de la biomasse du phytoplancton, réalisées par l'IFREMER à partir des images satellites de MODIS/AQUA (NASA) et MERIS (ESA), et déduites des réflectances marines reliées à la Couleur de l’Eau. La méthode d’estimation de la chlorophylle-a à partir de la réflectance marine de la lumière solaire est basée sur la propriété du pigment chlorophyllien d’absorber préférentiellement la lumière bleue pour la photosynthèse.
