From 2007 to 2011, a survey of rivers in Finistère was coordinated by the Chamber of Agriculture and the DDTM, in consultation with local authorities, users’ associations and local residents.
The outcome of this process is the departmental inventory validated by Prefectural Decree 2011-1057 of 18/07/2011.
It was updated in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020.
The 2020 amendments are almost exclusively movements of tracks linked to rectifications of mapping errors or to the taking into account of works carried out on watercourses which have been the subject of an administrative authorisation. These amendments concern 14 km of watercourses.
Following the release of the Government’s instruction of 03 June 2015 on the mapping and identification of rivers, the inventory approach has become national and the mapping of the rivers of the Finistère can be consulted on this page is now part of this new framework: it is the reference for the application of regulations made under the Environmental Code and the Rural and Maritime Fisheries Code, in particular water law declarations and authorisations, phytosanitary by-laws and GAEC watercourses.
A watercourse maintenance guide for residents is available.
It presents the concept of ‘regular maintenance’, explains the objective sought and sets out the means to be used.
A print is also available to you if you wish to apply for a change to the route of a watercourse, whether it is an addition, a deletion or a section shift.
