Informing citizens about major natural and technological risks is a right enshrined in the Environmental Code.
It should enable citizens to know the dangers to which they are exposed, the preventive measures they can take and the means of protection and relief implemented by the public authorities. It is an essential condition for dealing with risk and adapting our behaviour.
At the departmental level, the State services prepare and disseminate this departmental risk file
majors (DDRM) listing the municipalities at risk and the preventive and crisis management measures to be implemented for each of these risks.
This file lists the levels of risk to which the communes of Hérault are exposed and various data used to produce the DDRM maps approved by the Prefect of Hérault on July 6, 2021.
