The ministerial instruction of 3 June 2015 aims to establish a watercourse mapping. The aim is to define the parts of the water system that are to be considered as watercourses under the water policy, that is to say, the watercourses to which the regulation resulting from Articles L.214-1 to L.214-11 of the Environmental Code applies. The mapping identifies the sections of watercourses validated and those still to be defined (indeterminate) on the basis of proposals submitted by the members of a steering committee and systematic field expertise. As this mapping is not exhaustive, it will be subject to regular updates.
