/* WARNING. The label “Heritage of the twentieth century” is replaced by the label “Contemporary architecture remarkable” provided for in articles L650-1 to 3 and R650-1 to 7 of the Heritage Code. The buildings and developments concerned are listed on the Heritage Atlas (http://atlas.patrimoines.culture.fr/). */
The table L_LABEL_PATRIMOINE_XX_SIECLE_075 lists Parisian urban buildings and ensembles to which the label “Twentieth Century Heritage” was awarded between 2000 and 2015 by the Regional Heritage and Sites Commission. It does not include the historic Parisian monuments built in the 20th century which benefit from this label without passing in commission.
The 20th century Heritage Label was created by the Ministry of Culture and Communication in 1999, in response to the Council of Europe’s recommendation of 9 September 1991 encouraging the identification and study of 20th century architecture in order to avoid “irreparable losses of this moment of European memory”. It identifies and reports to the public, by means of a logotype designed for this purpose, urban buildings and ensembles protected or not under the title of the Historical Monuments, which are representative of the creations of the twentieth century.
More information on the label can be found on the website of the Ministry of Culture:
