Watercourses determined following the instruction of 3 June 2015 from the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy who asked the Prefects to draw up a mapping of rivers in all departments.
The departmental directorate of the territories of the Alpes de Haute-Provence has carried out a concerted work on mapping watercourses with all water stakeholders (AFB, farmers, foresters, environmental associations, fishing federations, river unions, elected officials).
This mapping is intended to inform anyone who wishes to know the status of a drainage and whether any intervention on it (installation, works, works, activities...) is subject to an administrative water police procedure.
This watercourse mapping is published on the State Services website.
River mapping has no legal scope as such. It has an informative value of making it clear to the public about the expectations of the administration vis-à-vis users for the application of the Environmental Code.
It is an evolutionary knowledge tool updated annually.
