As part of a partnership with the Agence régionale de santé d’Île-de-France (ARS), which wanted to explore the links between the urban environment, walking and health, DRIEA developed in 2016 a qualitative decision support tool for Francisian planners, entitled “Marketability Indicator”.
This indicator aims to estimate the potential of a territory to stimulate walking. It was designed based on observations from the 2010 Global Transport Survey (EGT) and geolocation data to characterise the territory on a fine scale (400 m carroyage, INSEE). Finally, this tool is declined by three age groups (5-18 years, 18-65 years and over 65) in order to take into account the differences in mobility behaviours observed in the EGT.
