Polygons of the perimeters of the priority neighbourhoods of the city’s policy on the department of Charente.
A priority area is a continuous urban space, located in urban territory. Where the boundary of a neighbourhood corresponds to a public highway, it shall be deemed to follow the central axis of that road.
Article 5 of the Planning Law for City and Urban Cohesion of 21 February 2014 laid down the modalities for the reform of the priority geography of city policy, and two decrees (No 2014-767 of 3 July 2014 for the metropolis; No 2014-1575 of 22 December 2014 for ultramarine territories) detailed these arrangements.
These priority neighbourhoods replace sensitive urban areas (SEZs) and urban social cohesion contract (CUCS) neighbourhoods from 1 January 2015.
