This is a partial revision of the P.P.R. terrain and flood movements of the municipality of Toulon. This revision applies exclusively to the area of Mount Faron as defined on the regulatory zoning plan.
This revision of the RPP takes into account only the following natural hazards:
•falls of stones and blocks.
The Risk Exposure Plan (P.E.R.) of land movements and floods of the municipality of Toulon approved
by prefectural decree of 8 February 1989 and serving as a Risk Prevention Plan (P.P.R.) since the Law of 2 February 1995 known as the Barnier Law, remains applicable:
• throughout the territory not modified by the regulatory zoning of this P.P.R. and for all the risks defined by the 1989 E.R.P (ground movements and flooding);
• within this perimeter, for the other phenomena taken into account in the 1989 P.P.R (i.e. excluding falling blocks and stones). This is, in particular, the phenomenon of “collapse, subsidence of land”.
In 1982, the Law on Compensation to Victims of Natural Disasters (Act No. 82-600 of 13 July 1982) established the Risk Exposure Plan (PER) to encourage the insured to prevent in particular. In 1995, the Predictable Natural Hazards Prevention Plans (PPRN) replaced them, also replacing any other plan or device approved by the Prefects. The Barnier Act aims to strengthen and unify preventive action. It further states that the procedures already approved are PPR.
The Natural Risks Exhibition Plan Flood and Terrain Movements (former PER Natural Risk Exhibition Plan) in the municipality of Toulon was approved by prefectural decree of 8 February 1989. The revision of the RPP for the Mont-Faron Stone and Block Falls was approved on December 20, 2013.
In the territory of the municipality of Toulon, the RIP identifies natural risks:
— floods linked to rivers Le Las and L’Eygoutier;
— movements of land by landslides, falls of stones, rock blocks and collapses, collapses and subsidence.
The land subject to the natural risks of the RIP is classified into 3 areas: red zone, blue zone and white zone to which a regulation applies.
The revision of the RPP which concerns only the movements of blockfall lands for the Mont-Faron sector distinguishes 5 zones: a red zone (R), a pink zone (CB3), a blue zone (CB2), a green zone (CB1) and a white zone to which a regulation applies.
