Status as at 01/01/2020 PAPIs aim to promote integrated flood risk management with a view to reducing adverse impacts on human health, property, economic activities and the environment. A tool for contracting between the state and the communities, the PAPI system allows the implementation of a comprehensive flood policy, thought at the level of the risk basin. This PAPI scheme has been initiated to address flood risk in a global manner, through actions combining risk management (rehabilitation of flood expansion zones, dynamic slowdown, protection works...) and reduction of vulnerability of people, property and territories (limitation of urbanisation of flood-free areas, reduction of vulnerability of buildings, improvement of forecasting and crisis management...) but also risk culture (preventive information, setting of flood markers, safety and safeguard measures, etc.). The file specifies the status of the PAPI. PAPI geometric objects are based on the common objects of the BDCarto.
