The noise classification of land transport infrastructure is a regulatory approach taken pursuant to Article L571-10 of the Environmental Code, and the Decree of 30 May 1996, which require the prefect of each department to classify land transport infrastructure according to 5 categories (1 being the noisest and 5 least noisy).
The noise classification of the Eure land transport infrastructure was stopped on 13 December 2011 and takes into account all tracks with traffic exceeding 5,000 vehicles per day and more than 50 trains per day. The Prefectural Decree of 20 April 2015 incorporates the classification of the municipal roads of the Grand Evreux Agglomération.
