Dataset description
The objective of zoning in urban areas is to describe the influence of cities on the whole territory. This division is based on the identification of clusters, urban units concentrating at least 1,500 jobs, and then on the delineation of their areas of influence based on the commuting journeys of the population of neighbouring municipalities (box). This functional approach to the territory makes it possible to assess the influence of cities beyond their physical limits defined by the continuity of the building.
