The Water Planning and Management Scheme (SAGE) is a planning tool, established by the 1992 Water Act, aimed at the balanced and sustainable management of water resources. It aims to reconcile the satisfaction with the development of different uses and the protection of aquatic environments, taking into account the specificities of a territory.
The study for the preparation of the inventory of wetlands on the perimeter of the Scot of the Val de Rosselle and the SAGE du Bassin Houiller was carried out in 2011/2012 on the municipalities of the Scot de Val de Rosselle and the municipalities concerned by the “surface waters” of the SAGE BH, i.e. 59 municipalities over 475 km².
Prioritisation has been carried out to identify priority wetlands for water management and biodiversity (ZHPGEB). They are targeted in Article 1 of the SAGE BH Regulation, which explains why they are made available in particular zonings.
This is not ZHIEP or ZSGE.
The inventory is not exhaustive and does not have the accuracy of a statutory water policy inventory.
